The Utopia High School Running Buffs Track Team competed in the District 31-A track championships held in Leakey on April 4th. The boy’s team brought home the district championship, and Sophomore Brayden Long was declared the high-point individual after medaling in four events.
Sophomore Jace Bennett narrowly missed setting a new state 1A Pole Vault record with an attempted jump of 15’5″. His meet winning jump of 15 feet currently ranks as 3rd best all-time in the 1A Pole Vault record book.
