The Utopia Buffaloes showcased their resilience and determination in a thrilling rematch against the Nueces Canyon Panthers in Barksdale on Tuesday. Despite a previous loss, the Buffaloes dominated the court on Tuesday, securing an impressive 71-46 victory over the Panthers. 

This remarkable win marked a back-to-back triumph for the Utopia team, signaling their unwavering commitment to success.  Taylor Wiekamp and Dustin Rhodes led the team, with Wiekamp scoring eighteen points while also being credited with six assists, while Rhodes had fourteen points, six rebounds, and five assists.

Also contributing in the win were Trey McFarland, who scored twelve points and seven rebounds, and Jett Smothers, who scored ten points, had five rebounds, and three assists.

The victory of the Buffalos was their third in their last four outings and raises their record to 11-10-1 and ties them for third place in the district race.  Utopia will next host Knippa at 6:30 PM on Friday night.
