The Lady Buffs Golf team is off to a great start, winning tournaments at Utopia Golf Course hosted by Leakey High School and bringing home the first-place trophy at the Castroville tournament hosted by Utopia.

At the tournament held in Utopia, the girl’s team of Kinsley Cox, Hallie Moore, Lizzie H., and Danika McCarty shot a total score of 410 to bring home the first place trophy and gold medals with Kinsley Cox placing first as an individual with a score of 88. At the tournament in Castroville, the Lady Buffs combined for a total score of 424 while Kinsley Cox shot an 89 to bring home a gold medal, while her teammate sophomore Hallie Moore placed second and brought home a silver medal, shooting a 95.

The boy’s team consisting of Cooper Wernette, Jett Smothers, Jay Cantu, and Brayden Long placed third at the tournament held in Utopia while placing second as a team at the Castroville tournament, combining for a score of 396.
