Some of Utopia’s students, parents, and community members participated in the annual “See You at the Pole held a student-led prayer rally. According to the “See You at the Pole” website it is a global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.”
Their website also says it “is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the schoolflagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.” Utopia School has been participating in this tradition for a couple of decades.
Utopia also has a chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a student-led Christian organization that meets regularly at the school of which dozens of students participate.
Elementary, Junior High, and High School students also participate in Christian Youth groups hosted by local churches.
